      珩磨工艺是一种以被加工面为导向,在一定进给压力下,通过工具和零件的相对运动去除加工余量,其切削轨迹为交叉网纹的精孔加工工艺。通过正确选择设备和工具可以改善孔径几何精度和表面粗糙度。除机床外,珩磨工具、珩磨油、夹具等都对珩磨效果有不可忽视的影响,因此解决生产中的不同问题,须对以上几项进行合理配置,以形成最佳的解决方案。
      珩磨是制造业零件内孔精加工的唯一途径。选用不同型号的珩磨工具,即可加工高硬度合金钢、也可以加工软钢、铜、铝合金、石墨、陶瓷等零件的内孔。
      工件在珩磨过程中,由于珩磨条与工作表面的接触面积大,珩磨压力小,工件是柔性夹持,易于自动定心,且相对运动速度低,热变形小,因而能获得高的尺寸精度、几何精度和表面粗糙度,不存在内圆磨容易产生工件表面烧伤、内应力等问题,对深孔、细长孔的加工,珩磨比内圆磨更具有优势。珩磨与手工或金刚石铰刀珩磨相比,效果要高数倍。珩磨另一优点是被加工过的零件表面有交叉网纹,这些网纹相当于无数个贮油槽,并形成油膜,从而改善零件的润滑条件,提高零件的使用寿命。
